Why do straight women pretend to be lesbians as soon as there is a camera around?

Edit - that's not specifically aimed at Snugglybum, just a general observation.

That is one of my biggest annoyances- when girls kiss each other in clubs just to try and get lad's attention.

Precisely why certain straight people shouldn't be allowed in gay clubs.

It's very annoying, and some may find it intimidating, being stared at by straight boys in gay clubs. One of the reasons gay people go to gay clubs is to feel comfortable and safe. This kind of behaviour takes that away.

    Good for morale?

So whenever you're feeling down, you look at a picture of two girls kissing do you?

Yeah, that usually perks me up when I'm feeling suicidal:rolleyes:

Hmm, I can see both sides of the argument for this. Personally, I don't have a problem with straight people going to gay places, as long as they respect the environment they are in, ie don't stare, make snide comments etc.

However, I know some people who don't like it. It would be difficult, for example, if there was someone who wasn't out at work bumping into someone straight they worked with, who may then tell everyone back at the office.

Gay people can be charvers and knobheads too. However you are less likely to get hit on by a leery drunk straight guy.

I think its a valid argument, homosexuals seek refuge in clubs where they wont feel threatened by violent hetrosexuals.

The UK like most monotheistic nations has a legacy of homophobia, if two blokes were to kiss in the Bigg Market they'd get seven shades of shit kicked out of them... so why shouldn't there be gay only clubs?

wouldn't you just say thats more an attitude of the backwards nature that is newcastle rather than the UK as a whole?

Yes. And other smaller cities, not just Newcastle.
