    Stuff like:

    Afrika Bambatta
    Grandmixer D.S.T
    Fab 5 Freddy

Theres a compilation that the Micronauts put out about 6 years ago called Why Is It Fresh? The Electro Years, loads of early 80's electro tunes, check it out its one of my fav compilatons and what i would call electro.

i think its the law that if you play at basics you have to have big bass lines... every time i've been recently ever1 who's played has!

well all the ones i can remember anyways ;)

They've just tweaked the soundsystem at Basics so apparently its now one of the best around...this should explain the basslines!

blackstrobe, afrika bambatta, zombie nation etc ...would all be classed as electro in some way or another i reckon :)

    from the bugged out website...

'Parisian duo Black Strobe make a welcome appearance to Bugged Out! at The End in July. Ivan Smagghe and Arnaud Rebotini have not played together in the capital since October last year. Be sure to check out their Dex & FX show and listen out for their latest release "Chemical Sweet Girl" due out later this month on Output which sums up their self-styled 'rock'n'roll with synths' sound.'

'How would you describe the Black Strobe sound to the unitiated?
Rock n'roll with synths? We have loads of stuff written on our studio wall: 'frozen balearic, nu technal, hard electronica, boogie trance, gay biker house...'

so now we know...its rock and roll with synths! hehehe:p

The confusion with blackstrobe seems to be because they play across so my genres.

Tech-house, Techno, Acid house, all with an electro flavour.

Personally i love them also look to buy there records ,Madonna and me is a class.so is sweet chemical girl:D
