Last time I split up with someone I was a total recluse (sp?) for about 3 months..

Went to work, came home, went to bed, went to work... etc
Sometimes the people at work helped me through it though

The best thing to do is to get in touch with some mates and arrange a night out.. and go out as much as possible.
The way I look at it is the more you go out the more you are likely to bump into someone, which can only be a good thing.

I'm not saying get rat arse all the time, just a few quiet ones..

Also don't throw away the offer of friendship.. it will only create shit at a later stage in life..

Break ups are really depressing. . . my longest relationship was just over 2 years, it hurt me really bad when we finished

But I suppose he had the decency to tell me face to face

Was really upset and tried to hide the fact that I was upset but my friends figured me out and helped me over the year. . . was really down in the dumps for a long time

But now all is good and with someone else who makes me laugh everytime I'm with him, have never ever argued with him and love him to bits

I kinda have, but it isn't really like a proper friendship... more like aquaintences now

i was finished with andy for a little bit when something daft (a kiss) happened between him and my bestest mate, i think i cried for about a week, tried to get with someone else too, to make me feel better but just wasnt right, tried to push myself into being "over" him, lost my very bestest friend for a little bit too. but then i was like i couldnt let something crap like that keep my friend away from me so i let it go, best thing i done, im friends with them both again now. cant deny though at the time of breaking up with him i was so hurt i think i was a bitch to everyone anyway so i probs deserved it.

Yeh I've kind of stayed friends with him. . . don't think I'd want to lose in touch with him cos I love his family to pieces

me and andy spent a lot of time together, nearly everday for 2 and a half years, i couldnt NOT be friends with him, he watches me through thick nd thin and even if something happens and im in the wrong even this day hed stick up for me as i do him. plus he brought my baby up to, and i was pregnant to him so we'l always have a connection i think. first loves are absoutely pants

Two of my exes are now very close friends of mine. In fact when I split up with my gf on Tuesday, one of them was the first person to ring me, and the other one came straight round!

I'm not friends with any of my ex's even though I've always parted on good terms with all of them, we were friends for a bit, I've just lost touch with them now.

I think it's quite hard to be friends with ex's its really hard work but I guess it could be done.
