you know if you kill someone on the road and its due to you not taking care of your vehicle, ie you breaks steering fails you'll get done for manslaughter and go to prison.:D

Shouldn't you stop driving it til it's been checked out then hun?

If there's something wrong with it you're putting yourself and others in danger :D

Next time tax your car for six months, then do it yearly again after that. Will split your tax and MOT by six months so it's not quite so hideous.

It's an easy thing for a woman to think of isn't it

Hogg was complaining about his so I suggested that. He'd never have thought of it on his own

Last month was the worst I'd had in a while with £600 worth of repairs required to get through the MOT and fix the ignition barrel... Still for 10k miles in a year its not too bad...

New end to end exaust system will be required soon along with a potential water pump :(

What you should do to stop tax and mot coming all at once is get your tax for 6 months, then it will be staggered, and you will not feel the strain so much. Lucy :)

Re: Re: Re: Car repairs ......

some one already said that:lol: but nice try

i used to get given cars which had a few months tax n test on them from garage next door..id drive them into the ground and then find another, many a time ive drove a car that realy shouldnt be on the road...but in the county side, you get away with alot(those were the days) inc red juice in ya tank(but not now)

best way to save money on cars, rule 1,never buy a fiat

Got mine back on friday after 400 quids worth of work and within 10 minutes it was still running hotter than it used to ... I was ready to put the thing through a wall and buy an oyster card at that point and put up with the BO ridden masses.

Think it might be the water pump now and not the radiator thats causing my overheating ... but thats a cambelt off job and the words 'cam' and 'belt' are swear words in the alfa community.

Great fun ... not
