1st Factor
You just abolish child benefit for those under 18 or summat.

That would cut all those teen pregnancies, at the moment they dont bother with contraception cos they know they still have a hundred and one options if they do get pregnant. Main one being a government handout each week and cheap housing.

Take that option away from em and they suddenly have to REALLY think about supporting the child themselves. Finding accomodation and work!
There be a few that still opt for that option sure. But they majority would rethink abortion or just not risk it in the first place! (problem solved!)


2nd factor
Is that more and more kids are growing up with no male role models or influences!!
There are very few male teachers in primary schools, in a lot of these 'chav' cultures the only influence they have is mum, sisters or grandparents. Father has long gone!

Despite people arguing this isnt a male dominated world..... it pretty much still is! So these 'chavs' leave school not having any influence from older males (teachers, fathers) and suddenly face the 'real' world where at some point they gotta take orders mainly off males!!! And they dont like it!
So they basically think 'fuck it' i aint doing it! Another Chav is born!!! :evil:



3rd factor
Yound people have no sense of community anymore. When I was young i was involved in sport playing in a 'TEAM'. very few of em do nowadays.
Things which people took the piss out of like the 'scouting organisation' gave young people a sense of community and for males a chance to bond again.
None or very few young people particiapte in anything like this hence the Chavs again. Loners who think the world is against em!
Some kind of national service or compulsory activity would sort alot of it out, especially amongst young males!

No solution to that. You cant just force men to become teachers. The governemtn give out £6k to entice people to do a PGCE after they finish their degree but all thats doing is creating untrained teachers. My mrs did a 4 year course in Teaching so how can someone possibly learn the same amount in a 1 year PGCE as she did in 4 years



3rd Factor


imo, when you leave school, you either go to college/uni or go into a job immediately....if you cant/wont get a job then you go into National Service. Not even national service where you become a trained soldier, but national service were you are doing things like fixing broken railway lines or building new schools etc etc.

If you get a job but cant hold one down for more than a month at a time then you go into NS aswell

Theres obviously going to be extreme cases for every factor.
But for the majority it would work and this was the case in the past. The majority it worked for so you'd only ever come across the occasional Chav!
The majority of lasses were still in education not shacked up in a free house/flat, the majority of lads were in work or training!

But because nowadays people are obsessed with blurring the line between right/wrong, pass/fail on the off chance they offend someone. We have a society of youngsters that dont know where they stand so they stand where they want!! The easiest place they can! On a street corner nearest the handouts!!

Maybe I have traditional old fashioned views even tho im only 24 but ya cant accomodate everyone.

i agree. it sickens me how bone idle bastard lazy people can be... my gf's family are terrible, they have relied on her as a bread winner since she was old enough to work, and only now is she in a position to get out of it all. i've told all involved my feelings on the situation, as in simple terms - i have no intenton of helping someone who wont drag their lazy, fat arses up and help themselves. thankfully my lass appriciates my sentiment, and intends to get away from it all - somehow she doesnt share the 'oh im so hard done by ' attitude of her family.

an italian lad i used to work with was fascinated by the whole charver thing over here, he said that there was no comparison in italy... he said of course there were idiots and problems with albanian wannabe gangsta kids but not a whole sub-culture like we have with charvers. it seems to be a whole breed of person and the future generations are just gonna keep coming.

Just a small point, and i do agree with most of the points on this board, it is worth pointing out that the current level of unemployment is at it's lowest for over 30 years, so i would think it unfair to generailse todays young people as scroungers, sure a lot of charvers are in piss poor jobs in the likes of McDonalds, JJb etc but it's better that they are in jobs paying taxes like the rest of us than roaming the streets causing hassle.

A friend was telling me a story bout some guy that lives down his road supposedly CANT work cos of a disability. Hes got a car with that motobility scheme or whatever and hires the fucker out!!!

I really cant see why its so hard to bust these people. They apply for benefits of some kind, ya send someone round to check the story out. And if they're lying bastards then ya barr em from claiming benefits full stop!

Well the Tories will never be back in power in the near future, and like i said i agree with most of the points on the board including the fact their are millions on incapacity benefit,

my point was more that we shouldnt all jump on the 'it wasnt like this in my day' chat, cos a lot more charvers are in jobs albeit shitty ones but its better there in them than roaming the streets.

As for incapacity benefit there are a lot of legitimate claimants, my uncle for one who 20 years ago was diagonosed with MS and ten years ago had to give up his job as an accountant, he is now confined to a wheel chair and has problems moving his hands, he had a good wage and therefore paid a fortune in income tax, there's no doubt in mind he deserves every penny he gets on incapacity benefit.

However there is so many scroungers out there who flog the system. I don't know if anyone say the programme a few weeks ago on the BBC regarding scrounger's in Wales, one woman had been on incapacity benefit for 8 years with depression, eight YEARS with depression, sure we all have good and bad days but she takes the piss, this is why i think a lot of people get pissed off and yes its about time stricter controls were brought in.

I THINK THE GOVERNMENT NEED TO LOOK AT THE PROSPECT OF THE FUTURE AND NOT THE PRESENT...

while i dont buy the whole right wing '12 asians to a house' shite, i do agree on the coal... its wasnt brilliantly profitable but in the future it could have its benifits... along with aligning ourselves closely to the US who have vast oil supplies for when the middle east runs dry. of course we should be looking to longer term options tho...
