To the PC Goons> What's the difference between>>>>

    1) Linzi claiming Whiplash (for arguments sake lets say falsely)

    and

    2) Johnny Congo claiming asylum and a LIFE TIME of free benefits and housing from our government for lying about how ppl might be nasty to him if he returns to Africa??

your arguments on compo are just but your lack of arguments on asylum are hypocritical and overruling

    both are wrong you plum.

but its easier to determine if linzi is claiming with less harsh consequences, than sending someone back to a potential death.

The people in this thread (sleep, alex etc) who slate compo claimers but wouldnt dare slate an unchecked asyulm claim becasue that would be sOOOOoo wrong/racist

    That's very true actually....

But not really the point, im sure regardless of the nature of an asylum claim, its more cause for concern than a scratched knee.

I think if people want to give taxes to the state in return for a government provided service such as the health service, and roads/pavements etc.... they SHOULDNT expect to be able to sue the state when something goes wrong with their free service and expect the same kind of treatment as if things were in the private sector.

Strikes me as a bit hippocritical and greedy expecting all the benefits of having other people subsidise services, then expecting a massive payout for something you might not necessarily have paid into very much?

I know people who have been in accidents and claimed for compensation. . . one of my friends was walking over a zebra crossing and a bus knocked him over, got quite a lot of money but he was in intensive care for a lot of months :(
