I dont understand why the British Government should be compensating citizens who invest their money with foreign companies.

Ice Save has no UK connections so you are effectively taking money away from the UK so there is no way that the UK tax payer (and dont tell me this wont happen) should be covering this.

Any printing of money to 'help' banks or 'ease liquidity' will ultimately end in higher inflation.

.... Which means bills are going to continue to go up.

I dont see any problem with the banks being helped out aslong as its the consumer who benefits and not the banks.

Somehow i doubt we'll all look back on this with a smile and say it was all worth it ;)

.... the people are going to pay for this round of greed... for a very long time.

they have to help the banks - they can't let them fail. it's a win/win situation for the brokers, a shit situation for the share holders who ultimately lose out

what is it they say about a fool and his money?....

We're based in the City Centre of Newcastle and we process their investments. It's likely to have been marketed round here, offered a good rate and sounded quite appealing at the time. Hence why they're covered under the UK FSCS.

I'm going to be made redundant because nobody in America wants to buy our product. I'm not really bothered though, things always pan out in the end. I had to move out my flat in August though, so I haven't noticed any problems with my money situation yet.

    - With regards to the Icelandic crack, at work we have stopped selling & buying Icelandic Kroner as the exchange rate is fluctuating so much in a day.
