Its isn't a station that plays music made by blacks for a 100% black audience though. Its a music station which is heavily influenced by the western black culture and makes it accessable to the multi-cultural british population

True the BBC could of come up with a better name (I perosonally think they're cashing in on the name), but it isn't an offensive name - how in gods name does "black music" offend you?!?!?

if that was aimed at me, im not offended.. if i seemed it i apologise, i was making the point that while we can positively discrminate with black people, if we did this with white music/people/whatever it wouldnt be socially accepted?

When I go to america I watch british tv, when I go to ibiza I listen to british radio, when I go to ireland I read the british papers... Recognising each others differences isn't racism.

I think the younng black/urban culture is very different to about 70% of white youth culture... To recognise that isn't discriminating.

The statement that you find so offending is that I think it is WRONG that blacks should be given a BLACK radio station.

Just the same way I think it is WRONG for the Diet-Coke advert to show woman ogling a half naked man with sweat dripping down his tits.

The advert sickens me as it show young black kids draped in gold pushing each other around in the street, driving motorbikes recklessly and making gun "bang bang" gestures at the camera.

This is the sort of Black "Culture" I don't want to see & luckily we don't see up here.

Newcastle is very safe city. This is because it has a low Black population. This isn't a racist statement. The statistics speak for thereselfs.
