As a CLUBBER so far:

John Dahlback = Canceled, no mention on the message forums to give us the heads up, until the event had been & passed.

Dave Clarke (1st time) Cancelled = No mention on Message forum, stood in que for 30 minutes to find an A4 peice of paper inside the Club door stating he'd cancelled, poor call.

Luciano = Again as above.

Dave Clarke = STILL no mention as to weather he's playing with 3 days until the event

Ryan Elliont = As above & his Myspace indicates that he isn't, again stil no word from the promoters.


It's got fuck all to do with promoting mate, im speaking from a clubbers point of view & how it is VERY TYPICAL of waxon to keep there punters in the dark, if you wan to go down that route then fine, we ran Junior:G at the Cosmic for over a year & half booked DJ's from all corners of the Globe also on a monthly basis who were of equal calibre for their genre & when we did have instances of a DJ canceling or replaced everyone was made aware the minute it got sorted well before he actual event, it just comes down to courtesy & not trying to sting your punters. It's got nothing to do with the ratio of nights compared to cancellations? the fact is that when it happens it's the exact same crack everytime, they let folk turn up excited about seeing a Dj knowing fine well the best there going to get that night are the residents.
There are probably more instances of similar cases, it's just these are the ones I've personally experienced, so yes I will sling mud & will get pissed off, every other night has had the decency to give us the heads up with their situation & even been so kind as to put there intended line-up's on for free, why not waxon? so yes as I said it is very typical of them. As you can see not just from my comments there are a few quite pissed off at the fact they still know nothing as to whats going on or even if waxon on is going ahead in 3 days time... the lads snowbombing is a terrible excuse im sorry if they can manage to cancell DJ's or the whole event for friday then im sure they can let their punters know?

I never said it happens all the time I just said it's typical, which it is, yet again were left in the dark, this time with less than 3 days until Friday & we dont even know if Waxon is even going to be on?
As for DJ's missing there flights, well id be stupid to say it doesn't happen it's just that everytime it does happen or an instance like it, its in the exact same manner - nobody knows until the event has either passed or until they actually turn up to the club.
Ryan Elliots myspace clearly indicates he's not paying Newcastle which (to me) states they've knew for longer than just a few days yet still no word from anyone? hence why I came on here to ask, surely waxon doesnt ground to a halt just because a few of their promoters have went on holiday?

Instead of links to RA a simple yes or no to weather friday is going ahead would be suffice?

RA means fuck all the DJ's actual websites are saying differently?

has anyone ever said it isn't going ahead......and have the dates ever been on Ryan's myspace and on Dave's site?? I know personally that RA is a lot easier to maintain than myspace and a website!

why doesnt dave stone just come on here and clear it all up, i seem to recall he was pretty vocal about refocussing me when i was the only ONE who seemed to suggest that DIGITAL was killing clubland months ago

I mean surely they can say whether the gig is happening even if they dont know where it is happening

Mr Stone does not run or have any part in Wax On, and perhaps just maybe there hasn't been an announcement yet because we aren't allowed to say what is going on until given the go ahead from other stakeholders......
