    too hard?

Detox is seen as more harder edged musical anyways?!?!??

u don't go to habit and say "why aren't they knocking out the hard house?" for fucks sake.

Haslam was AMAZING - and i mean REALLY good - but J00f was UNREAL. nailled it from the start, never let up, never go boring and i was even dancing for a whole hour - which i never do - and i'd only had 1 vodka, spend most of the night throwing up and was full of man-flu

Heat was ridiculous as was the club management

Static & Wilson - you were spot on!!! you were lovin it - proper party stuff

and you're right - it was a decent music progression, quite a few different styles under 1 roof - makes a change if u ask me

God it sounds like it was a sauna!!

I would have hated it, i love my clubs to have room to move in and not so hot i cant breathe, that does not mean i like stuck up clubs and ones that dont have it going off on the dancefloor. I think Linzi was just being honest, she said nowt different than loads of people!

I had a good night, spent most of it in Gossip though, went into Techno room for Mick then seen Flemmings first hour which I thought was good but alot harder than expected, but like MOS says, it is a harder event so I wasnt expecting floaty trance :)

I would of stayed in all night but it was too hot and the management turning the water off then telling my mate to Fuck off when she told him it was against the law to do it was harsh!!

I went to go in to let mates know we were still there and Mick would be through till after his 3rd set  and the doorman wouldnt let me in

Gutted didnt get to see Smigs play was looking forward to it :(

I think the problem was that it was in a club and peoples expectations of that are different to a rave in an alternative space. Powerhouse was just the shitiest place. I like sweaty and loud but they had both been turned up to eleven. I couldn't bear it upstairs I thought I would pass out and only hot water in the bogs didn't help. That said, the people and the DJs were immense. J00f was awesome just awesome. And I had a great night all the same. If you go to events like Detox which are basically one-offs you have to expect that sometimes things will go wrong because each venue is different and they are not always in control of every aspect, like the heating on this one. But it's always a great crowd of people who are up for it and thats what makes it special. Nice to meet people off here as well.

no i mean at the end of the day i know detox is varied towards the harder style of music but it was way to hard dont know if it was cos i wasnt "in the moment" but it def wasnt my cup of tea or what a few other people expected

at the end of the day im giving my opinon from the night for everything i have heard so thought i would check it out

open minded if i was so into the music and didnt have a fuking clue i wouldnt of paid the door fee to detox to just come on a message board and slag it of really ?

phil you know me and how much i love my hard techno and then totally varied other music taste

just think cos the majority of this board is embedded with detox melt static etc

its seen as wrong to give your opinon if it aint going along with the promoters and whoever is in there back pockets

@ phil mitchell @ lotte, i am only saying what i think and know there is numeros people that have the same opinon sorry like

@ leethemackem I have a collection of bryan adams as well as DJ sammy thats how varied my tastes are in music so kick back listen to some rick astley and chill you hopeless charva wannabe

i've said b4, melt and static get a lot of shit for no reason off this board sometimes - but thats just the way it is. They put a hell of a lot of hard work into these events sometimes to find that even with their best efforts, other people let them down thru no fault of their own.

i'd never want to stop anyone saying what they wanted about anything they had an opinion on - but detox to be fair is seen as being more for the harder crowd (main room line ups anyway) - Proteus was on the line up ! - so it was never going to be 'eased in' - and i know u linzi  - i wasn't having a direct go at you

    8 > 8:30 was very warmup-ish... i should know... i did it ;) :)
