The last three detoxs with the more varied line-ups, were a return to what the crowds were like at the ones
I first played at. Thought there was a better atmosphere for it as well. Hope melts sticks to the varied music policy for the next one.

Always been a firm beleiver in varied music policys at multiple room nights. Nothing Worse than going some where with two rooms and then playing the same thing. Detox recently has given lots of different styles a chance and has been better for it IMO.

so 850 thru the door is quiet eh!? lol x 1million

and for the record that actual number wasnt enhanced by "rah" students or cool scenesters

on a night that had turbulence , circo loco, akka and inertia that is a huge number

there are a whole host of nights / events that would give their right arm for half of that number thru the door on a regular basis

Its quite reassuring that in what is perceived as newcastle's small club scene you can possibly have the best part of 3000 people out at 3 different independent nights on the same evening

    :cool2:

yeah mate i know. the reports i got was off someone who was having a particularly bad night overall. so numbers were diminished slightly.

on a better note from others that were having a great time, it was banging :)

Suppose you can say you had any amount through the door when you hold an event in the student union.

i am going to make this real easy for you as it is clear you aint no mathematician

you take the number of people who bought tix thru shops add it to the number of people who bought tix privately add that to the number of people who paid on the door to get into the basement and then add onto that the number of people who were on the guestlist

that number comes out at 850 withought any assistance or help from borrowing someone elses "brand name"

as you are such a numb nuts i wouldnt expect you to grasp that fact or the concept that the "posh" students at newcastle uni barely step foot inside their own uni building these days

if we wanted to bullshit we could have said "oh there was well over 1000 in" which would have been easy to do as when we have been in the tix outlets thats what the patter regarding numbers has been lol

but we deal in ACTUAL facts and are here for the long haul :)

never dropping below numbers of 500 in the last 4 years of doing events in the most unusual of places well before the rest of you thought they had invented what a warehouse was is nowt to be ashamed of and its why detox has been running for 9 years and 5months

now fuck off and go and and bum some minimal electro bollox elevator music

and leave the raves to US

    :screw:

Did you hold one of your crazy raves in Rake Lane hospital or something?

I suppose your bookings might have been relatively fresh 24 years ago.

as opposed to what the latest "cool" thing is aye?

I suggest you go and purchase this months dj magazine to see what's in vogue and to see whether you've made their pages in a fleeting little crowd shot.

This months issue also has the top 100 djs listed which should prove really useful as it will inform you who to BUM for the next 12months

NOW YOU BORE ME, so i suggest you fuck off back to the Hood where you come from you "kraaaaaazy kat"
