Do you guys make any money from Detox? Or do proceeds from one night just get ploughed into the next one?

how can a nightclub be a hobby

its a business!!

some make money , some break even,

we've lost money at 2 events in 6 years

a fair whack gets reinvested into the next nights

its never been about making a living off it tho

we do it for the laughs

when the laughs end thats when IT will end

if you were a multi millionaire / billionaire would you care whether you made money or not

do you class roman abromovic, running chelsea as running a succesful business???

cos believe me HE is running it as a hobby, and the business if it operated without hisbacking wouldnt be able to sustain itself

There is nothing inherently wrong in running club nights as businesses, just as there is nothing inherently wrong with doing it as a hobby. There is a requirement and room for both.

evolve should be called promise 2 because they are still using the same djs.

they also lack imaginative bookings and have double booked 4 times in the last 11 months. they need to show more originality like detox.

they need to cut down on the money grabbing class A djs and bring in the the nubreed who actually want to rock the place.

evolve is a canny night, most of their djs so far are in the top 100 and although this may be boring for you it must be quite exciting for the younger ones who have not seen them before.

there is also a mint sound system and lots of skirt but it has a very poor atnmosphere due to some very strange characters.
