Techno T was by far the only decent MC in the North-East IMO. I did a caricature of him and Bass Generator and they used it on one of the Judgement Day flyers! I used to go to Judgement Day religously Lol! I even got into After Dark for free having spraypainted a portrait of Techno T on the wall inside. Then i started getting into DJ Scott's hardhouse warm up's then it was Sundissential for me! :p

Not really in2 'happy' hardcore at all, but used 2 love proper hardcore and techno. raves were THE place 2 let yer hair down. everyone was equal and no-one gave a fuck about what anyone else was wearing.
I hear the odd rave tape now and it sounds cringetastic, esp the MCing, but at the time it was fucking amazing: MC's jimmy g-force, stompin, daz attack, baz masterrhyme, sub zero all bigging the crowd up.
And of course the bands/live PAs, plonkers in clown suits pretending 2 play keyboards/whateva hehe. Fucking class with their indoor fireworks, wailing vocals, top class dancers, etc etc
No booze on sale made for an amazing atmosphere.
    Great days!!

I think my favourite MC lines from the happy hardcore days were :

"AT THE FRONT, COME ON !!!!"
" AT THE BACK COME ON !!!!"
    "AT THE FRONT"
    "AT THE BACK"
"RUSH COMING ON GIVE A HEART ATTACK"

or the DJ stopping a record suddenly, the MC tapping on his mic and saying " who's that at the door ???" tapping the mic again "who's that at the door" then the DJ whacking the song back on and the mc screaming "ITS THE FUCKING HARDCORE"

I liked happy hardcore from a young age, about 10ish I think, so can remember the old rez tapes and CDs. Thankfully though, I've never been to any of the 'big' hardcore nights (that includes the after dark, etc.)

I was into it until about a year before I got my decks, when I started getting into trance and house :king:

    NAR !

Electro --> Hip Hop / rap --> Acid House --> Belgium techno --> Dutch hardcore rave --> gabber --> gabba --> speedcore --> Spice Girls --> Steps is how it went for me !

Unfortunatly I still get subjected to it on my travels and some of my mates are still making it. Although it has been re-invented under the name 'UK Hardcore' to make it sound more credible and a lot of the cheese has has gone from it.
