Ah well, i suppose its good news that its all been sorted.

Though i was getting kinda excited about the prospect of a new venue.

Not sure il ever be convinced by Digital's Room 1.

I'm not digital's biggest fan, but where else is there in the NE thats as good or better and of a similar size?

I'm hoping that the "changes" being hinted at by the wax on and shindig guys means some major improvements are made to the place :)

    My thought EXACTLY LMAO.

A sheer case of Digital needs the nights that left & the nights that left need Digital one thinks? both parties suffered last weekend in numbers.

potentially some nights could have gone down the pan along with a Multi-Milion pound Club. A wise move if anything.

Im just pissing myself about what the majority have voiced about certain nights the minute they left Digital... and now being back after a week

Aye i've never seen so many people suddenly pipe up with abuse about one subject over last week, totally laying into club, comments like "never liked the place anyway","glad it all went tits up","won't be missed that place","total shithole", all people who `loved' the place before, i've always liked what digital has done for clubbing in the toon, even if it has went downhill since turn of the year, and hopefully returning to the original owners will mean it will return quality club nights back to the way it was in the first couple years it was open...

    I'm disappointed now :(
no one really likes digital as a space. It always makes me feel like the punters are not cared for somehow.. I know it's all about the music and the DJ's but a good club needs an atmosphere almost as much. Those places that have been converted from warehouses or such places have a history and a quirkiness which helps. Purpose built venues always seem to be either trying too hard or not enough and seem either bland or soul-less.
It needs a makeover from someone who has a feel for creating an atmosphere rather than just considering the practicalities. What makes a good atmosphere is such a subtle thing and it's easily lost, but you always recognise it when you experience it, even if only subconsciously, and it's what makes a place loved rather than just used.

Definitely, a lot of the die hards were tried of the clientel certain nights pulled & how they became somewhat commercialised, when folk caught wind of that some nights may be returning underground they got excited & thought it was gunna be straight back to the good old days (so be it for a week Lol).

Unfortunately the clubbers voice doesn't pay the bills.

    Totally agree :)

I don't care what the outcome of this whole ordeal is.. I still think Digital is a load of bollocks. Maybe drop the prices and change the layout and it may be worth the money it takes out of my pocket if i ever do venture in there.

Still don't like the place that much as a club and that hasn't changed just because everything is returning. I just hope that Scooby is hinting on some kind of refurb to try and improve it. He says they've been wanting to do it for a year so hopefully it'll get done.

Newcastle = Albert Square of clubland

I'm slightly disappointed, but it was on the cards to be fair. Lets just hope that something is done to make Digital the club that it should be, rather than the piss-poor venue that it has been of late....

    bucking bronco?

may i suggest that the "dj's" earn their ridiculous salaries by anouncing drinks prices every half-hour or so.

i have found it difficult to hear what the barfolk are saying what with all that "music" on in the background.

    long live legital!!!
