    MP3'S ARE NOT COOL.

FLAC (FREE LOSSLESS AUDIO CONVERSION) IS COOL.

The only way you could check how good it is would be to play something decent like this [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhcR1ZS2hVo"]YouTube- Karajan - Beethoven Symphony No. 5 - Part 1[/ame]
Now that would be a good night out.

Have you never heard of a thing called a gramaphone? You can record the full orchestra and play it back on a "record". It's truly amazing stuff!

    "really muddy and unclear?"

I am sure if it was as bad as you say most people would of fucked off. Don't think I ever worried about the soundsytem when I was out about unless it actually went off.

sorry, but just because they both have the same badges on doesn't mean they are the same systems.

it would be like comparing all the ford cars with each other

room acoustics play such a big part in sound design that even moving your head by 12"s could seriously alter the way you hear the signal

as well as that, the desk it all runs through, the digital processing and even the cables will colour the sound in some way or form before it even gets to the drivers

Yeah so many variables affect the sound you get from a sound system.

Im listening to some hardstyle on my pc at my mams house, the room is like 4 times larger than the last room it was in, and the sound just isnt filling the room at all :(.. it sounds so poor :(

sounded spot on in my spare room before.

an excuse to upgrade it i guess! :D

i'm running my machine through my mixer, and then into my seperates, which in turn lead straight into my monitoring speakers, and when turned on - the surrounds.

Digital has nothing on my acoustic set up :D

Add yourself a subwoofer or some bass bins or something, then pray you have faith in the mortar holding your house together

the speakers themselves have sub's in them

the problem is when it isnt plugged into my mixer, and i cant control the bass - all you doing when monitoring is listning to a constant barrage of bass - not good :(

it took me a full 4 hours just to get the sound itself right - not to mention getting the acousitcs right in a triangular room

i didn't notice. i'd usually blame the dj.

remember how bad foundations would get when the amp room would heat up - nevermind it's being either bass-y or treble-ly - no inbetween

(yes, not real words. they are now)

The upstairs system is eq'ed to my ears with far too much sub bass and alot of the highs and mids and upper kick get lost in throb of the sub it just does not seem clear enough compared to other function ones.

As for the main room i was told that it was sent up wrong with the bass bins been out of phaze and some of the drivers get blown and it takes a while to replace them that why some nights sound better than others if all the drivers are working.

Not sure how true this is but i got told by one of the clubs sound techs.
