pike you use more water washing up by hand than a new dishwasher would use.

we've always had a dishwasher in our house's.

I once put a flatmate's filthy, crusty washing up in their bed - which didn't make too much difference as their bed was filthy and crusty too.

PIKE - my little sister does our cleaning, she is available for hire.

I'd warn you no funny business, but at 22 I think she's a bit old for your tastes.

i wouldnt count on it, britain could have arctic temperatures in our lifetime... i had to study this in depth at uni and the truth is no one knows how serious its gonna get as the planet to heats up... all we know is that it is heating up and we are a major contributor. if we dont start making a difference now then the world could be pretty nasty in just a few decades.

    i recycle :D

i wont bore you with all the details on ice ages and climate change that i've looked into... but britain and northern europe are only warm because of the north atlantic current... it keeps the climate temperate wheras if you look at the same longitude as us in canada, its fucking baltic.

that current has shown signs of decline over the past 20 years, mainly due to glaciers melting (as a direct consequence of human action causing climate change) and disrupting the flow with extra-cold water. once that current goes = britain in ice age like conditions.

/boringness - i should be a fucking geography teacher

geordie birds will be alright though, but they might have to start wearing coats ;)

    i live in shared accomodation

dishwashing i wash my own and any left in the kitchen but the rest of the house just was there own

dont think a dish washer would work as people would be even lazier and not load it up

dont take long to wash a few pots imo

its the cleanliness of the house that boils my piss how can some people live in the states it gets grrrrr

Re: Dish Washing in shared accom

Dishwasher is the way forward !

Problem is its gets left until its full then youve got no dishes and end up having to wait for the cycle to finish then you only take your dishes out wich means when youve finished with them you put them ontop of the bench and before you know it youve got hal;f you clean dishes in the machine the other half on top of the bench ... What you need to do is just take turns emptyinh the dishwaher , filling it up etc . Dishwashers are still better than piles of unwashed dishes unless you just start washing your own dishes !
