I think Van Dyk is still doing the Vorsprung Dyk Technik Tour from 92-98 these days?

I hate to say it like but we have all seen the best of him, unless he sacks off them laptops and starts using CD's again or even sacks off all the shit he plays then its just not gonna happen and making what he is now and how fully booked he is do you really think that this will shake him up that much?

    [ame="http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Fu-enxqj9aY"]YouTube- Tiesto Edinburgh 2007 - Simon Patterson (Bulldozer)[/ame]

Check that out from when we went to see him in Edinburgh, There was another 2 arena's there aswell totally packed but thats the main room and check the size of it

John - Nah i cant see him changing that much to be honest specially as he's still doing his in between tour, but maybe it might give him someting to think about at how much he's changed in the last year and how he's been over taken by Armin Tiesto and Digweed because of the change...

    You can hope

PVD can still rinse a club, his first hour and a half at crasher was unreal, so hard and full of energy, if he just stayed away from shite like chemical brothers half way thru a set then he'd be spot on.

They are all going through their equivalent of the beatles/oasis 'bigger than god' phase .... they wont come out the other side of it the same as they went into it.

They'll milk it for as long as they can make wads and wads and wads of lovely cash out of it - I doubt PVD gets up in the morning and looks forward to playing the same set to the same bunch of clubbers.

People whinge about him playing 'for an angel' ..... but the same people, or an equally sized bunch would whinge if he didnt.

Thats the territory when you reach those heights.

haha who posted that? tbh they have a point, i reckon fleming is by far the best trance about at the minute, and he hasn't even made the top100.

Your totally right, but he was on for 6 hours?

If i were PVD, id simply pick 50 of the best trance/techno tracks from the past 5 years & play all them? simple.

(having said this I was impressed by him @ Crasher the other month - RISING ANGEL:love: )

He is imo as he's the only trance dj thats impressed me majorly in the last 2 years, the rest are bland and play the same old shit that every trance dj does like tyas, fleming looks out of the bubble and plays a class blend of dark prog, driving trance and psy, other djs like bennison and lawrence are similar.

Aye Flemming and Lawrence are not that good. Probably deserve to be in the top 100 tho, although Tyas and Askew did not make top 100 so maybe not:D

All 4 dj's you've mentioned are better than Above & Beyond and they're in the top 10.

    The worlds a peculiar place.

    Fair point like.

I suppose the poll is down to personal preferance. Iv'e always like the harder/techy end of trance, he was good at evovle I have to give it to him, im just so fussy with DJ's, if the first couple of tracks dont grab me when I go see them iv lost interest.

All over, on the top of mountains in Sweden, Goa, Brazil, deserts, South Africa, Australian outback etc

Think they tend to stear clear of the House/Trance scenes (apart from fleming and lawrence doing their bit at trance clubs) but astrix is seen as a bit of an underdog, even though he has made some quality stuff (hence getting in so high I suppose though, much more accesible)

It's infected mushroom that shocked me (well not really) at number 9. They are just so incredibly shit.
