It is awful! Lee won't listen to anyone tho......this seems to be the direction he wants to take Vuzz now.......personally I can't see the logic in making a hardstyle DJ resident of a warm-up for a hard house night.......?

there are a few plans on the go for a new warm-up, but there a few difficulties at the moment!

venue + funding are both big issues. not many places want Prog/Trance is there ar on a friday night. At leat not places close to foundation. And Egypt cottage PAY to have Vuzz there! Something with definitly wouldnt happen anywhere else...!

just a thought but I would just open the always room early, few issues with toilets and stuff though. throw them out @ 10 get the club busy early. just a thought, but I ain't no promoter.


you can then play whatever you like, whatever DJ's you like. should be like SS where the members can play the warm up.

DJ's of a decent standard.

Because I didn't book our normal Saturday's someone else did so we were left with a couple of Fridays on the 19th and 26th, which is when Tri-Hard are playing.

And as for the music policy... as long as its quality it gets played. I played drum and bass the other week.. although thats gonna be moving to a different night on a Friday now... when I get round to sorting it out.

Hopefully that Friday will work out pretty well... a proper warm-up to Promise.

always room would be perfect, as the soundsystem is sweet, and its a cool room. But it would incure cost to Mark + co, as bouncers + Bar staff would have to be employed. Plus the club would have to be ready about 3 hours before it normally would. So Peter or whoever would have to come down early and set up the equiptment etc....Vuzz currently operates without and involvement from the Promise management, as they have got enough on their plate really. So the new warm-up would have to operate in a similar way.

I'm sure it would pay £££, pay for itself easy. Few drinks promotions friendly crowd - local talent behind the decks. I dunno the in's and out's of any of it.....was just thinking of an ideal world.

John I have spoken to him loads about this. I told him to drop DJ Terror as resident, get Batfink in and get you and Jambon playing more. He won't listen. He thinks Terror is the boy (he's played at Judgement Day don't you know!!), and he won't hear otherwise.

To give him credit he is trying, but if the people around him (who are also the people who made Vuzz what it is, i.e., you, me, che, and all the promise regulars who have supported the night), are telling him he's going in the wrong direction he should probably start taking notice.

He wants me to do some flyers and I told him I wouldn't do them until we've sat down and had a propper talk about the direction he's taking (I'm not comfortable seeing him get the bar to shell out a load of money on flyers only to have to do the same again next month when he realises he's got it wrong). I will say all this to him again we'll see what happens........

i know hes probably trying, and its not my night, thats why i wouldnt want to say anything. Cos i will just look conceited. Everyone would run a night differently tho, and its just his way..

It will be interesting to see how it all pans out....
