    I think I've heard that quote on that movie Scratch or something along those lines.

    When it comes to turntablism then your getting to the point were "DJing is the greatest form of expression". Used properly the deck is as much of an instrument as a guitar or anything like that only far more flexible.

    Theres a quality bit on that Scratch film where there are a few people who have guitar stalls at some music exhibition thing are whinging on about hows its not an instrument and its just a fad.

    Would production not be a more pure form of expression? Look at Sasha's Airdrawndagger. Nothing to do with making money, all about expression.

    Of course, when you start out and are looking for something to put you name on the map, I suppose you are somewhat more railroaded.

    surely just taking someone elses material and playing in an order you prefer/thinks works best isnt anywhere near as expressive as creating your own material...

    just your lack of technical ability on the dex m8 :lol: if it's done well it has to be a form of expression. at the end of the day it's not hard...but not everyone can do it :lol:

    yeah, i agree its a form of expression.. just i think anyway that creating your own material is more expressive
