The EQs on an Allen and Heath are class. When you kill the bass it comes out so cleanly

your probably right as it has 4 eq's which means for a smoother mix, i've never acually tried playing the stuff i like on it, think i was restricted to mixing bouncy hard house at basic instincts  :D

end of day its horses for courses aint it

one mans shit is another mans gold, why bother agruing about opinions?

ive used both the djm1000, djm600 and x62

i personally think the x62 has better sound quality and better eqs

although i like the fact that the djm600 has the eqs linked to the monitor section so when u take down the bass in the main mix u get it in ur cans too

wheras the x62 doesnt so u can tell as easily how somthing sound still u bring it in

the djm600s faders are soo much better imo than the x62, the djm600 has good effects but i think they r quite tacky in places

i only really use transformer and sometimes the echo

the x62 has some excellent voltage controlled filters with high quality low and high passes

the 1000 doesnt have any effects apart from isolaters as u have to use it with efx1000s on send and return

so didnt get to fully utilise the capabilities

id choose pioneer over a&h every day, only because it suits me better as a dj and i feel i play better sets on a&h

not to say A&H is any worse than pionneer jus means i prefer pioneer

i dont forsee any reason youd need to use the 2 mid eqs, theres rarely anything youd need to isolate in that frequency range?

djm500, didn't have use for the sampler at the time but wish i'd got the 600 now, was also thinking about getting the Denon but i hadn't tried it so didn't want to take the risk :)

the 92's a really nice mixer looking at it, but if i was going to change it would be for a mixer with more than 4 channels otherwise it would be pointless :)

well yeh thats true, the bones of a trance track is actually in the mids, but during an intro/outro theres rarely anything in that range needs isolated - its more about swapping the basslines smoothly as a lot of trance now revolves around basslines with a 'groove', and using the hi eqs to stop any dodgy phasing
