Doctors and confidentality, how far does it go?

    When a blood sample is sent off to a lab to be tested it is tested for specifically the thing is was sent for. There are so many different types of test that it would be a complete waste of time and resources for them so test samples for other things (like recreational drugs) and what would be the point?

    say for instance if the test was for a hormone imbalance...do you really think the same test will show...oh this person takes, ecstacy, cocaine, ketamine and paracetamol? it doesnt work that way...it's like testing for pregnancy with litmus paper!!

    Agreed. I was due in hospital for an angiogram (checkup from the neck up) on a Monday and I was shiting it. Went out and got trashed at the weekend to take my mind off it.
    Crapped mesel when they took blood on admitting me to hosi but nowt was said.
