Yes, but its not a music forum

To me the key is open mindedness to and finding new sounds.

i get bored hearing the same thing all the time and always want hear different dynamics in tracks rather than stuff that follows rules.

I never just buy records from a certin scene just things i like and then try to put them togeather

Loads of records are just made to make money.Thats not good music as the maker does not beleive in them neither does the label there just made to make money from mugs.

thats what i think anyway for what its worth

tbh i cudnt give a shit anyways lol was only pointing out what jase was saying, and at the end of the day yeh maybe they make some money, but maybe its the kind of music they love thats helping them do that. as far as youse know he could be making music hes always loved but because hes made a bit of cash they get labelled sell outs, thats bollocks imo, not saying i like the music because i dont, but youse cant tell what a producers intention is so youse really comment :)

I agree that all taste in music is subjective but at the same time think there is a load of gash stuff out there.

I don't think that a lot of music producers (aka the cheesy dance stuff on galaxy) actually consider their music has any merit when they release it other than to line their back pockets. The production is often weak and I highly doubt that anyone with a lot of production experience would actually listen to any of that shite.

I'm sure that there may be some that would prove me otherwise but I'd imagine they are few and far between.

Music is an art and I think that you can often tell whether or not someone really put themselves into it or simply tried to earn a few extra notes.

i agree, all im saying is that you can never tell what a producers intentions are, their are alot of producers who are acually into this radio stuff, and theirs alot of people who go out to these nights to hear that crap, probably more than go to house/trance nights.
so just catagorising all these as people out their to make money is wrong imo :)
to be fair it is shite tho lol

Wasn't aimed at you mate just an observation. :)

I still highly doubt that many of these producers are actually into the music hence why they will go to pretty much any length to get a shit track in the charts (i.e the crazy frog TUNE) and probably make a shitload of money doing so.

In the bigger picture loads of producers do work under alias or for poeple they don't fully want to, just to get paid.

Thats why when one producer makes a record that sells, in a month time theres loads of records, come out that sound just like it.

Some are good some are bad but most aren't original.

I can not believe people are still remixing addiago for strings come move on its been played to death i know it makes money but sample another classical record or something.:bang: :bang:
