i wud rather know what my kids were up to than not...i wud also rather know they were doing it safely & in moderation than hiding it from me...also that they weren't getting into debt for it & stuff (altho i wudn't help them out of it...i wud teach them that if u can't afford something u don't get it)

They are probably about as bad
in excess as booze. Which can cause as many mental health problems. Just because the goverment allows alchol to be legal does not make it safer in excess and thats what i am taking about joe. i thinks its something like half of assualts on people in involve alchol.
I am saying that everyone should get on one, but all drugs affect poeple in different way. If you became violent on drink would you continue to do it.
If you have an addicitive personality don't take any Drugs.

The kind of alcohol abuse your talking about is heavy usage over a long period of time... There has been no scientific research into similar ecstacy taking patterns... I personally think it would kill you... but that is a personal opinion.

If you have a couple of glasses of wine or a pill, the pills are far worse... Alcohol is actually healthy in moderation.

Try Reading goverment statics more deaths per 100 of the population involve alchol than e. 100 deaths due to E in 12 years in the uk Good Knows how many down to Booze. One glass wine is of cause better for than one pill but who when they go out has one glass but one pill once month is not going to kill you or give brain damage read reseach on why are the mental hospitals NOT full of Old School Ravers from 88.

At the end of the day its up to you but i thought i would try to stand up for something that i feel has been positive for Youth Culture and given me some of the Best Times in my life combined with clubbing friends and Music. If you break it down to a percentage of who has tried e and died statiticaly thats what i was taking about. using the same test Fly Fishing is a lot more Dangerous or eating peanuts.

The only reason more people die from alcohol is becuase it is a drug that has been abused over hundreds of years in this country, ecstacy is not common, it is rarely used daily and its only been in circulation for around 20 years!

I'm sure more people have died from pills in the UK than anthrax poisoning... but that doesn't mean anthrax is safer than pills!!!

I have been going clubbing since i was 16! Went to Godskitchen at the arena when I was 16, and then to Promise not long after.

I am now 19 and certainly consider myself a Promise regular. I have been clubbing all over the place, including Ibiza, and not ONCE have I taken pills.

I do not consider myself to have a shitter time than I could be having, simply because I would rather drink than take pills. At least with alcohol I know what it is that I am drinking which you can't really guarantee with pills. There have been several cases of "bad pills" where several people have died in a short space of time. Obviously this is extremely rare but sadly it happens.

Indeed, many people drink more than take pills but I remember reading that for every 1 person that dies from taking a pill, 4000 die from alcohol abuse - usually cos their livers are fucked.

I am perfectly happy to be part of this culture. I have no differing views on who takes pills and who doesnt. You either take them, or you dont, doesn't make any difference to me.

One main reason that I do not take E is that I don't want to start relying on it to have a good time - the effects are supposed to be very intense and mint, which I admit I would quite like to experience. And when I like something, I tend to do it quite alot. And I dont want to get into that situation with drugs.

Notice that there is no sly digs here, if you choose to take drugs, as I have said already, I dont think any differently. I would much rather be with a big group of people on a drug such as E as opposed to pissed up people who could snap at any moment. I see alcohol as a much bigger problem to society than the more "recreational" drugs such as E and Dope. Many experts have said that if alcohol was discovered now they would make it illegal.

As with other drugs, like cannabis, this has been proven to have a less damaging effect than alcohol, especially with light to moderate use. If you are a heavy user of any drug, including alcohol, it's not going to do you any good.
