    Anyone know of any decent Mexican places in Newcastle..

    Was all set on El Coto but my lass can't find anything she likes on the menu :(

    the best chinese ive been to is landmark on stowell street

    i love rockafella's in newcastle :)

    El Torro it is...
    Which makes no sense to me as they are the same company as El Coto and have the same menu.
    Yet she wants to go there???

    Womens minds eh.. :lol:

    Edit - Rockafellas is lush too.. I wanted to go there.. but she wouldn't :lol:

    I aint been out for a meal in so long, I love Zizi's tho if its still open? Holds some special memories that place :love: The food was always lush too and relitavely cheap. :)

    el torrero is good. my flatmate is the manager. Their french restaraunt is also very good.

    I'll have to grab a few friends to try out these Tapas bars though.. I'm gaggin for some now :lol:

    havent been to Zizi's but the menu looks a bit boring

    tapa's is a great meal out with friends, we just normally share everything and get some wine in etc :)

    Jen only eats Margerita pizzas.. so anywhere will do :lol:
    I'll let u know waht I think though.

    I now just need a reason to go for some Tapas.

    They sound awesome.
    I work with a spanish woman.. and both her and my immediate boss have recommended El Coto.. next to St James' Park.

    Should give it a shot :)

    In Jesmond...Francescas (Italian), Komal (Indian), Valley Junction (Indian) are all decent.

    There arent any stand out Italians in Newcastle IMO.

    Not compare to the rest of the country. Places like San Carlo in Manchester are just in another league.


    San Larenzo in Gosforth is good for a cheap mid-week meal...:)
