cracking evening

left 1.30am - music got too modern but enjoyed the start 100%

Thats bad crack moss. I was'nt on last as I never got to play but nemos and his lot were behind the decks when the manager pulled the plug on upstairs. dont know where it was but if it was above waist height in the dj booth, its not hard for anyone to grab it. did'nt notice anyone that should'nt have been behind the decks untill after adam was on though. Never went upstairs after it got closed so I dont know if any of the gear was being watched then either.

given the very short time in which this event had to promote itself and the fact that it was on mid nov the same nightas waxn 4th birthday, tatanka at mayhem and digital society in leeds and what with good greefs 8th birthday and fantasy lands up in scotland the next night I thought that overall it ran amazingly well.

not sure what went on with the "management" of the venue (again!!!) after 2:30pm as I was driving adam lab 4 back to his hotel when that was apparently going on.

but ... from stories doing the rounds and reading between the lines I can now completely see why HABIT and a number of other local promoters refuse to work with the current administration at the cosmic ballroom.

as a venue tho this is perfect for trance and given enough time and local support theres no reason why a trance night couldnt work over the longer term.

big thanks to the TRON man for having us host room 2 and especially big thanks to helen for making the door run like a dream.



ps: MUSIC WISE, I thought SEAN TYAS and ADAM LAB 4 were unreal

i was just about to get a lecture from the manager before the start - i told him dont bother as i know what the red means so i can imadgine him later on in the evening .

can i also point out 1 massive fact over looked how come a 1st birthday event can be over 6months after a first birthday

Tyas and Scarborough played good sets, enjoyed them both - But it's a shame the main room got so empty so early. Kind of ruined the atmosphere down stairs.

Detox room was rammed though.

Cosmic is a dive though - Not a fan really. Sound system was gash and drinks are over priced.
