Canny funny like. Everyone who lasts a couple of weeks in there is guaranteed some coinage out of it, getting booted out so soon is a right kick in her bank account :)

its ridiculous. Its not like she said "fuck off you nigger!!!"

It was not in an offensive context. People overreact SO much these days, however I don't remember anyone going mad when Victor a couple of years ago used it in every other sentence, referring to his mates and himself!!

GOD SHILPA POPPADOM HAS RUINED IT FOR EVERYONE!!!!

    all very true !!
the more we are subjected to being branded racist for the stupidist little thing and the more we see people having their lives in turmoil because of it then the more people will grow "racist tension"

so called DO-GOODERS are actually making things worse for everybody.

All they had to do was not air it on TV! but they've been eagerly waiting for a moment like this to happen, so they can use the person as a fall guy, to try and redeem themselves after the shilpa fiasco.

    Poor lass!

there is a clothes store in queens n/y called "4 niggers"
an organisation in africa called the "gay nigger society"
a rapper in america called "boss nigger"
richard pryor constantly released material with the word nigger on

anyone remember the film "rush hour" when jakie chan says "wasssup ma nigga" and is told by chris tucker how to say it properly ???

seems to me that it just another way of pointing the finger at whites and saying "oooh you racist"

I think you'll find it's actually Jade "pointless waste of blood and organs" Goody who has ruined it for everyone...

You can see both sides of the story from C4's point of view. They would have had to do ALOT of editing to stop Joe Public catching on and even then that could lead to someone on the inside telling the press...

Which is going to look worse for C4? They really had no choice in this case.

Within some black communities use of the term is a social norm...but when used by a white person (often in any context) it really doesn't go down to well...

The point being is, they hate it when a white person says it to them but it's fine for them to use on each other. It makes no sense at all.

But its up to them to decide when and how they use as it, as its them its offensive to. It is a bit weird the way it works though, but I can understand her getting booted out after what happened last time.

Clearly she's a lot more of an idiot than she made herself out to be!

She's like "R god yeah I say it amongst friends all the time"

No you dont? Dont lie and make it worse!

It's like why it's OK to laugh at someone for being ginger haired but not black skinned.

You have to sit there and consider semantics and history first to understand it, and I don't think Emily did.

If the word is offensive and they think it's offensive then they shouldn't use it in that way. if they do use it in that way then it shouldn't be classed as an offensive word anymore.

People who are young now and the next generation won't know much about that word being offensive, all they'll know is how it's used in hip hop culture. They'll think it's ok to call a black man it.

We should all start calling each other vanilla face and see if it catches on.

 Whatever floats ya boat Pete!

Ur not in a position to tell anyone how the word should and shouldnt be used! I totally understand where your coming from though. A lot of people have been saying you cant voice your opinions now and bla bla bla thats not what big brother is about -but I mean what the hell was she thinking? People just dont say things like that! She was warned loads before goin into house as well.

Slip of the tongue I guess. Posh people are usually more racist than common factory workers like me.

If I was in there I'd end up saying something people would class as racist. Like using the word paki to describe an asian.

See I just wouldnt use that word to describe anybody. We still have a pretty racist country but its getting a little better I suppose.
