Can I ask all euro-sceptics... how do u propose we survive the rise of the new economies that are set to topple America as the worlds leading economies.

everyone complains about rip-off britain, amd how they want to get out of the country.. if we go down the european route isnt that a step away from the rip-offf britain we all know and hate?

I think i'd vote yes

i'm not a euro sceptic.. nor an economist.. but britain will survive due to it's balancce of trade... most of britain's money is made through intangible services like insurance/banking etc... i cant see this changing even with the emergence of china/brazil as major powers.

    could be wrong tho

im sure all of europe wouldn't be doing it if there wasn't going to be a long term benefit.

The majority of voters have fuck all idea about the underlying economic issues and are swayed by "SAVE OUR POUND!¬!" etc. The main issue to them is the symbol of the pound, not the inexorable economic logic behind a single currency and reduced barriers to trade. Whether socialist or not, an efficient trade mechanism is necessary ( whether centrally controlled, as in COMECON, or market dictated, as in the NAFTA agreement, or a balance).

I know what you mean, I'm red through & through but would stick in my craw to vote for that lying little shit again.

Gordon Brown I've got a lot of time for though. I hope if they win the next election then Tony B. Liar doesn't hang around too long before he quits and gives Brown a shot

Because Rupert Murdoch wanted them to.

I'm quite set against quite a few parts of the Euro constitution, but I think News Corp taking over political say in this country is far more dangerous than Brussels.

I'm moving to Antartica at the first possible opportunity.

A poll in The Sun being anti Referendum does not need to be rigged.

I agree people should think for themselves & shouldnt be taken in by the Murdochs or Mickey Moores of this world.

no, but that;s the point. Based on the racist shite that the Sun has been printing for years now that's exactly what goes through Sun readers feeble little minds when they're asked an intelligent question about the EU Constitution.

fucking sheep, shoot them all and string Murdoch up by his balls.... I fucking hate him

The fact that the service industries account for the largest propportion of GDP, is neither here nor there... We are in such a strong position because we sit ona large cauldron of wealth and we helped shape the current global economic landscape.

This landscape is now re-shaping, as the BRIC economies go from strength to strength... within our lifetimes it is likely that we will see the restructuring of global economics.

As the BRIC economies mature and their service industries develop, there is no logic that would suggest the UK would maintain its stronghold, our relationships are with the old economies - not the new disruptive BRIC economies, infact the complete opposite is the case with China and Russia....

As the weight of global strength sways to the BRIC economies there is nothing to suggest a small island like the UK would maintain its current wealth... granted we wont regress to a third world country - but serious changes are needed if we are to keep up with global economics.

... and the best way to do that is line up our meagre economic muscle with the rest of Europe, that includes joining the Euro, otherwise we'll be a very minor player when the Chinese & Russian mega economies start locking horns with the Yanks.

These idiots yelling "Save our Pound" need a reality slap
