Yes it could .... Choice is what life is about ... now we have a choice to create a perfect human ..... But that begs the question as to what is a perferct human ?

And before some moron puts themselves in as the case in point .. Grow Up !

my opinion would be that our humanity goes hand in hand with our inperfections ..... Treating diseases is the good part of this practice but the moral implications of attempting to attain either genetically perfect or enhanced humans are vast !

You're right, it is taking a chance tampering with the human body as there are so many interactions, the trouble is unless we try something new then we'll probably never find out about such interactions. It's all about taking risks, it just worries me that the sort of people put in charge of things like this tend to ignore good advice from everyone around them and take unecessary risks which were always going to go wrong :(

personaly I'd like to see it put an end to gingers.... I'd risk the extinction of our race if it meant I didnt have to look at a ginger again ;)

If you got rid of gingers youd have to get rid of contracsting colours of hair to make sure no ginger was ever born again so everyone in the world would be either black haired or blonde haired etc ..........

Are you some kind of hair racist ? :D

it is just another step in the great chain of evolution.

The next step in evolution . You mong unit!

is never set out and was not put into that kind of context in my previous statement . Something which had your brain been evolved enough you would have understood !

    quite possibly.

i don't get how people can say science isn't part of nature. surely we as humans are products of nature and therefore by logs everything we do, whether it be agriculture, pollution or eugenics is intrinsically natural.
