I could really do with some mach 3 razor blades, apparently they're the most stolen item from shops in the country yet I dont know any smack rats to get some off. The prices in the shops are ridiculous so they deserve to be stolen imo!

Buying someones personal stuff that has just been stolen is definately scraping the barrel though.

I didn't say you said it was alright, it was a general comment directed at those who do think it's alright.

You imply that I would be doing the world a favour by buying stolen goods? I reckon if it was that easy to steal cash, the 'junkies' would be doing that in the first place, rather than having to steal something potentially harder to carry and hide than cash, and then find a buyer for it.

I'll stick with my morals thanks.

not so much nowadays cos they keep them behind the cash desks, they were the best thing for thieves to steal, pound for pound anyway.

Companies build in losses through theft into product prices, so the more that gets stolen, the more prices go up. It doesn't affect the companies' bottom line, but does affect those who are honest enough to actually buy the goods.

Do you think that if there had never been an item stolen in the whole country that thered would be a marked difference in product prices??

I honestly dont know but I find it hard to believe that there would. Maybe pennies.

Not a marked difference, no. It's just that people think it's OK to steal from major companies, and that it comes out of their profit margins, when it doesn't.

Even if everything came down by 'pennies', it would make quite a difference when they were all added up.

I knew you were going to say that . It was actually goping through my head as i was writing but still as the lesser of two eavils i can tolerate moderate theft from larger companies but theft of personal property should have the same sentance hear as it does in Saudi
