now its about who can rip tunes onto mp3 and cd the quickest

and a load of trancetastic "socialites" who think promoting is putting a few adverts on message boards and namedropping tunes

when trance began it wsnt made to the kind of formula it is now, it was the platipus stuff that people wopuld prbbaly call prog stuff

if you want real trance check out age of love by age of love

Not system F - out of the blue trance by numbers by mr alist dj kind of trance

    TRUE

but the word prog hadnt been invented either

that came along with the advent of leather pants in clubs and lines of pepsi and when djs such as sasha and digweed were taking them seleves far too seriously

if dance music is a burger , the big trance sound of the 90's would be a burger served with cheese

'trance' to me, back in the day, was more hippish & ambient more than anything else

older "proper" trance was more ambient and lower key than the music we all call "trance" now. i suppose thats the direction that the scene has went in, and the transition has indeed been made.

I prefer JG than evolve though, to put it simply i prefer to see better more influencing DJ's with a better crowd, rather than sweat it out and stuggle against a bunch of meat heads on the dancefloor of digital.

however the ferry corsten night at digital was class... upstairs was fucking amazing, apart from that it hasnt reallly appealed to me.

Fair do's to richard though, hasnt he just cracked the key audience that he's trying to please???

promise did indeed die, so therefore can such comparison be drawn with this new (ish) night in a new venue? its a new project in my opinion...

however it could be a money saver for future lineups (regarding the PVD pata earlier on)
