artistic analogies aside Joe, I just find it all a little too derivitive. Post Modern it may be, but simply to be post modern is not a measure of quality.
quite right, you just need to look at some of lifes wacky inventions to realise that inovation doesn't equal quality.... but intelligent inovation commands respect, call on me may be percieved by many as cheesey - but this is an uneducated perception, french house by its very nature has a very cheesey feel to it, I think this song encapsulates this cheese factor and turns it into something very distinctive and unique (although to the layman it may just sound another french house tune - but then most folk can't distinguish between classical compossers) The intellectual ingenuity can't be disputed and if you have pre-conceptions of french house being cheesey - you may just dismiss it as another cheesey to tune but you need to look beyond this to appriciate the true merits of this track
genius my eyes have been opened to a new world musically, i'll have to reach the soul of a tune to really appreciate it from now on lol
please never use this phrase, in jest or for real ever again. i feel a bout of nausea coming on everytime i hear anyone talking about thinking/looking/wanking "outside of the box".
I was being literate as I was talking about cubism I thought I'd use phrases to to compliment my my arguement
I've been talking shit throughout this thread, I loathe cubism, I loathe this song and I loathe cliche'd phrases... jesus give me a little credit.
take off the vocal up until 19 secs in - very similar to 'so much love to give' just a little higher and missing a key.... anyone? got a very strong feeling its a cover of some sorts or heavily sampled??? :spangled: sounds extremley familiar.... either way its happy and as a result should do very well... im'obviously knows nothing'o...
nah i happen to have really bad taste in music just some of the cheese i love at the minute seems to be in fashion!
I didn't think for a second I'd pull the wool over your eyes... you've proven yourself to be a genius
