    A lad at works girlfriend is a policewoman, he said that some of them do it to get back to the station for a couple of hours to do the paperwork and have a cuppa!

    That would be the Northumbria Police Headquarters.


    I think the point is that the original fine is paid to the police, and the second fine then comes from the DVLA. Two seperate organisations, though essentially both government run.

    I still dont see how both can fine you for the same thing like.
