Well JoeC, if you're being ridiculous you could point out the fact that the people who have to wear them for work are generally multi-millionaires, but that's not the point.

As soon as you talk about wearing football tops on holiday, you instantly think of some trashy council estate family decked out in ManUtd strips screaming and bawling their way down the pier of some shitty seaside resort. At least that's what I meant when I said it's for common trash.

Call me snobby/elitist/stereotyping, I don't give a shit. Rightly or wrongly I'm sure it's what the majority of people think. You can argue the opposite til you're blue in the face, it won't detract from the bad image/stereotype of wearing a football top on holiday.

I used to hate going to bars like apartment because they were full of weekend millionaires... this board is suffering the same fate.

This board has millionaires, lords and aristocracy but you wouldn't know it unless you asked... there are a handfull of psuedo yuppies on this board that consider themselves above the masses because they don't work in a call centre?!?!?

Whether charvers wear football tops abroad is inconsequential... they also wear shoes - by the same logic anyone seen in shoes is scum.

You know, that's about the stupidest arguement I've ever read by you.

You know nazi thugs have swastika tattoos? Well they also wear pants, so I hope you're swinging free so as not to be associated with them?

But the swastika is symbol that has come to represent the far right, football tops respresent your local club and can be worn by all sections of society.

What has class got to do with it?

They are hideous at an aesthetic level, but my point is with the 'they initiate banter with the locals', are people really that incapable of of not being able to strike up decent conversation without a football strip on? It's quite a sad notion.

Like the Daily Mail comment tacked on the end there ;)

Bullshit, by your logic that makes everyone the same and everyone a thug.

A chav is defined by the clothes they wear, at least 90% of being a chav is appearence.

    doh

How is that in any shape or form what I said?

I clearly stated that people from all warps of life wear football shirts so you cannot solely attribute them to hooliganism, the working class or charv's abroad.

I suggest you venture further than Ibiza, on virtually every up market holiday I've seen blokes in England shirts and none of them looked like charvers

I don't, I haven't a clue what he's ranting on about, they look shit and I wouldn't wear one now if you paid me, nothing to do with scrubbers, I just don't like them, like chavs probably don't like my clothes.

Turbine on their heads? Is that what an Asian looks like?

Maybe it's the way you and people you associate with see them - rather than suggesting everyone shares your simple-minded opinion.

    As for the turbine comment...
