Aye but diesil cars cost more, and the fuel is more expensive.

I think it was worked out a while back that on average you need to own a NEW diesil car for over 2-3 years before your actually saving any money.

    Interesting point thats all.

True, but the ability to get up hills should be a purchasing consideration.

Unleaded is about 90-95 pence a litre depending on where and what you buy (96 pence for Optimax ;) )

    Diesil is about 98-99 pence.

Aye, diesel is more expensive by about 5-6 pence per litre.

has anyone seen those silver sporty looking cars that are coming out in 2009. they get about 188mpg and do about 100mph?

cant remember the name, it was in the metro or somet.

i've got a focus and am a member of the ffoc. if u want any info just pm/msn me :)

i have a 1.6 but have had a go in just about every model there is, old shape anyways

the mk1 diesel 1.8 has 3 power variants, unless you plan on doing 20k or more a year i'd seriously consider a petrol

I'm selling my ugly pug 206 and I'm looking for a focus but I'm torn between the Zetec 1.6 TDCi and the LX 1.8 TDCi

Advice? The LX is looking favourite at the moment
