Foundation's sound quality is superb, the majority of the time. I wear earplugs, so I don't get auditory fatigue / TTS, and the sound has crisp highs, clean ( not quite bright enough but doesnt bother me) mids, and its characteristic tight, loud drop bass sound is not overpowering.

I think it's mostly due to TTS at 4KHz that people are finding the mids and treble to be quiet. Get some earplugs in if you want sound quality :)

most of the time it is due to dj's turning things up that don't need to be turned up!

andy is a great guy and always sets it up well it just goes to pot toward the end of the night!

No engineer in the world can make a red lining mixer sound good. Its just the DJ's who need a slap.

granted, very few people wear them, but I would rather not have tinnitus worse than I already have.

Foundation is very loud and will cause permanent damage to your ears :(

harry, what kind of earplugs have you got for clubbing? i got a pair of er-20s but the sticky out bit isn't really suitable for a club imo, cotton ones are fuck all use + foam ones really hurt the ear canal after like a half hour, any suggestions? :)

You can't see the earplugs me/Harry use unless you look directly into the ear canal Rossy.

To be perfectly fair though mate, I would rather look a bit off that have permanent hearing damage....Plus i hardly think people actually notice you if you are wearing earplugs...."Fuck, best move away from that guy, he's got earplugs in"

Harry's ear defenders took it way too far like!!!

    :p

Spud/Luke - I use the Deciguard AB earplugs. Once they are in they don't hurt your ears, occasionally itch but perfectly comfortable for all night use!

Very cheap aswell when you buy bulk. Sit right in your ear canal. You sometimes see people with them sticking out but thats cos they are daft and try to plug them in without compressing them first

I think the sound is good especially for bass heavy music.
