Spud and Luke, as Chris says, DeciGuard A+B are the way to go. They only hurt etc if you put them in wrong.

Firstly I just like to say why can't anything be done about it, if your losing hi frequencies you just EQ the sound to compensate for the loss in sound, also it always sounds bad in promise not just on friday. I remember one time a few months back when tomcraft were on it was really poor, I couldn't even recognise what some of the songs where because all I could hear was the bass and drums.

Because of this me and all my mates left and went to stage door after half an hour on tomcraft's set because it was unbareable.

I think the bass and low end is great in promise - Makes average tunes sound amazing i find.

However, theres definately alot missing in the top end i think. A good few tunes im used to hearing alot were played on friday and i had to almost strain to hear anything other than the low end (Remy & Klinkenberg - Fearless, for example) stuff in the tune, it almost sounded like someone had turned the EQ all the way down on high frequencies on the mixer.

So great in one way, a bit naff in another.

Brid mate - give earplugs a shot! I am not taking the piss when I say the quality is MUCH better with them in - you can converse at normal volumes with plugs in, at SPLs that make you yell in peoples ears without them.

The highs are perfectly clear with plugs in - a lot more so than compared to without plugs - you would expect a muffled sound, but at nightclub levels, you don't get it, because of skull conduction.

I think some people need to lighten up a bit.... how serious are some of the comments in here.... if you wanna go listen to a top quality set from yer fave DJ on a perfect sound system go stick yer latest downloaded set from them into a bang & olufsen hifi and sit with yer cans in yer bedroom...you will probably enjoy your night out more (or is it in?).

no wait dont do that, cos the download will be mp3 and you will lose the quality wont you. you better write off to the DJ and ask him to personally record you a set of his from the recording studio.

Basically your a right loser mate, I just want to listen to music the way it's suppose to sound not in some bass orientated pap that happens in foundation. I've never downloaded any music from the net because it's illegal. Secondly I agree mp3's are shit quality thats another reason why I don't download music from the net.

Overall I don't won't my night outs ruined by a crap sound system that can be fixed easy enough with a good quality sound engineer., I'm sorry if this pisses you off but when I'm paying for soemthing I like it to be worth the money.

@Xanda... no offence but does it matter so much that it will ruin your night? I really dont get that, if the sound was pisspoor fair enough but its not at all and lots of people prefer it the way it is. What makes you think you are right?

I know I'm right because i'm into sound engineering and I study music at university so I know when something sounds right and foundation doesn't, people who have a good ear for this will know i'm right and the rest of you are just probably out of your heads on drugs and think it sounds mint.

To be honest mate, I think clubbings more about having a good time than hearing the perfect set on the perfect sound system. I think atmosphere counts for far more.

We've all agreed that it could use more mid and treble, but I'm not going to stop going and stop having a good time there just because its not like listening on etymotics or shures or something.

    Each to their own :)
