    G/F`s grandad was/is "master of the lodge" or something along them lines


    got lots of expensive gifts and stuff from what i`m told, although full on details are sketchy as he wont talk about it....

    an ex of mine's mum used to be a cleaner at the masonic hall and she let me look in once. It was well weird. big desk with ceremonial scales with a block of stone and dividers, benches all round a black and white chequered floor like a chess board and a stained glass window with masonic signs on it.
    They are sworn to secrecy on pain of death and have an initiation ceremony that involves wearing an apron and rolling up one trouser leg:confused:
    They are widely beleived to use their masonic mates (who include top police officers magistrates councillors and businessmen) to get inside info on contracts and get off if they get caught by the law.

    This is true, the best bit in that book that I found. Doubt it means a thing these days mind. The "bloke in charge" is called the "master of the chair". :lol:
