Not at all, Israel invites the international media into its land - we want the world to see what goes on as we believe international exposure will ultimately assist peace in the region.

What we don't want is the west to engage in the new face face of anti-semitism; anti-zionism... Hamas & hizbullah play the western media like puppets, manipulating photographs, staging scenes and most tragically using the defenceless as shields.

I'm not suggesting for a minute that Israels hands are clean, tragic events occur in warzones... it saddens me that Israel has been responsible for some of this tragedy.

All I and any other Israeli asks is that you try to view the conflict from both sides of the story.

This is not directed at you Joe, but there is no point trying to converse in the conflict in the region with some Israelis (by this I mean young Israelis straight out of national service). I made the mistake of trying to discuss politics with Israelis at a psy party in Goa, and I did not expect the aggressive reaction I got. I did fear for my safety and I think that if it wasn't for the fact my girlfriend was with me, they would have kick the shit out of me. It is probably understandable considering the shit young Israeli men have to put up with growing up, hence why some escape to Goa and get fucked on drugs, which is fair play really.

Imagine this scenario:

You're a young 21 year old fresh out of military service, aged 5 you witnessed a friend get blown up on a bus, aged 13 you r third cousin was gunned down, aged 18 you join the army and your female partner is shot in the leg in a Gaza operation... You go to Goa to escape all this and some Brit starts laying into you about the injustice of the Palestinians cause.

The above is a quite feesable Israeli story as war is all around in israel... Regardless of your interpretation of the conflict - your preaching would only ever result in complete anger.

What right do you have to lecture someone who has witnessed such tragedy... it is the same reason I'm very careful with my words when discussing the conflict with Palestinians.

Both sides have seen such tragedies, when discussing your politics with the victims of war one must be very careful of their choice of language.
