Yeah that's just a projector that you'd buy for about £1700 and then realise you look like a puff when you show your friends

As for hologram phones.. I'd really like to see evidence of this as I can imagine it's about as useful as our video calling.. shit quality and pointless :dunce:

Edit: In fact I don't believe for one second that they have phones in Japan that projects a hologram of the caller. That kind of technology would have made its way onto the news surely.

it probably does exist, and probably costs a bit of coin too, but at the end of the day - why would anyone want to have a hologram to talk to for grands more when they can use a normal telephone?

plus, imagine if you didnt want to talk to them and hung up - an angry hologram shaking a fist at you just wouldent be worth the money!

I have no doubt they exist, I've read about the possibility a few years ago.. but as far as walking into a shop and buying a phone goes, I doubt they're widely available. I agree with you also.. it's just silly.

Why turn a phone into something else? I can just imagine a bus full of people, all of them with a hologram in front of them. or a night out in town.. people falling all over the place cos they've lost focus on what's actually real.
