The ONE Gods night @ Digital with Oakie was a sell out & major success, it had to be behind the scenes stuff or loyalty to Evolve that scuppered that surely!

Like no one was prepared to head up the Toon end of the business?!.....

If that`s correct, it`s a shame, coz even though it was full of chavs, it had a lot of potential, far more than the likes of Good Greef anyway!......

well i dont know just quoting the below gods would work i think

Strange about Digital, could be a number of things, the first event didnt go very well? They couldnt get enough staff to run a night properly up there, if you imagine, the Gods offices are in Stratford, Newcastle is probably a good 5 hours drive away from there

Did they not do a few gigs up here? im sure they had O'bir on or was this the same gig? like I said summit didnt work as they did a couple of events & never came back.

Evolve over Gods?? It wouldnt make sense to fuck an Establishment off like Gods in hope they could do the same/better with their own brand like Evovle, if gods were still up here or either parties had given it a chance town would be a lot different for sure, they cater for just about every genre of music, with Digital having 3 rooms they would have been a major success.

O'bir was the same night i think mate! aswell as Riley and Durant!

Godskitchen once a month. 3 rooms would be a major success in my opinion.

One event, early Dec `06 - sold out with Oakie/O`Bir, R & D live on Galaxy, a major success, even though it was chav infested, for whatever reason they strangely never returned & a great shame, coz like you said - it was a sure fire winner!......

Perdu is a nice bar although it attracts the usual plastic millionaire posse

Could do some music in the outside bit aswell

    spot on.

the question is, can bob senior manage anything other than going down the cheesy commercial route?

digital are in exactly the same situation foundation were 3 years ago, except the mess is entirely of their own making - unless they act quickly and decisively they may share the same fate. And unlike foundation, they still don't have a team left who are capable of giving it a go.

its a bit harsh calling wella a scab the lads a supply teacher by trade so its a tough one for him to knock his weekly gig back plus he lives with the manager of digital so hes got loyalties there. im guessing its all been said in jest though.
as scooby has mentioned in other posts we both left the club on good terms (well as good as possible) the main reason we left is because of our 16year friendship with Rob. Digital asked us to stay and we thank them for that.
Myself and scooby have no desire to get into some sort of bitching war with anyone involved with digital. so lets hope we dont get dragged into one.
we do wish them all the best as all the staff there are nice people and have been good friends to us.
im sure they will come up with a plan to make a go of it, something on a more commercial tip is the sugestion i would give them as they have a very strong background in that field.
