Lee - do you not think you're being slightly narrow-minded in your opinion of Gateshead, considering that you've only been to Gateshead High Street, which is like the Bronx? The likes of Whickham, Low Fell, etc. are all in Gateshead, and are better than most areas in Newcastle, and just about every area of Sunderland.

Whickham's better than most places, but Low Fell and the people in it? Fucking disgusting. Proper dingy ghetto the Fell

Nah it's alright Low Fell, it just seems to have extended to the majority of Gateshead over the last few years as it's apparently a desireable postcode. The original areas of Low Fell (Dryden Road, Valley Drive, etc.) are canny. I could say the same about Whickham also, all of the Emmanuel charvers hang around there.

Not particularly. They're doing up all of the old townhouses around Saltwell Park which look alright, but it's still Bensham and you'll still get your car torched.

The top end around the leisure centre/Prince Consort Road isn't that bad, at least in relation to the avenues down the bottom, but again, it's still Bensham.
