    its a stimulant, not exactly good for your heart.

    puts bad strain on your heart.. ket's bad too but in a different way (it ages the heart if taken often - weekly or more).

    I would like to do the GNR - def something that I wanna do in the future.

    Just the training beforehand could be a whitey....

    Think i might do the Blaydon Race next year. Its only 5 miles ish (Bigg Market to Blaydon). :cool:

    13 miles just sounds too much. :(

    thing is how the fuck do people do a proper marathon! 26 fuckin miles!

    Not really.

    I just know a couple of people from my work did it this year.

    I remember it was in June, and its on a weekday evening. Not as big as the GNR like, but still gets about 4,000 people taking part.

    I'm planning to do it next year! I've wanted to do it the past 2 years but each time I go to apply I'm too late! You have to apply in like February/March to get a place!

    12 and a half miles isn't THAT much! I do the Cancer Run at Gosforth Park each year which is 5miles, and that only takes 30mins for me to do, so should do 12 and a half in under 2hrs :up:

    Though I probably should do some sort of training :rolleyes:

    i did it about 4/5 years ago when i was at sixth form carrying a bucket full of monay for charity too.

    don't think i would be able to keep up a good pace for that long now though!:(

    I sponsored someone who ran it this year. I'm always tempted myself but I'd just be an embarrassment..:oops: And anyway I've already done one run for charity this year.:D (Which admittedly I walked.. but it's the thought that counts!)

    I did it in 2001, was fantastic, i d definately do it again. Trained for a month for it.

    Thinking of running the London one sometime soon:)
