Great North Run

    Would love to do it, just for the the fact that I could say I've ran 13 miles.

    Used to do the Jnr. GNR every year when I was younger from the age of about 10, maybe even younger, till I was 15/16, but then kind of packed all the running in after I broke my foot and my priorities started to change.

    Would really like to get back to doing a bit of running, if only to try and lose some weight, but in the 6 years since I've stopped with exercise I've become so lazy so I'm fighting a battle before I've even started.

    GNR isn't too bad.

    First 8 miles or so is ok, then you hit the hill which takes it out of you! The sea front is the worst, makes you think that you've almost done it but there's still another mile & a half left, feels much further though...!

    Didn't run it this year but thinking about it for next... :)
