What a mental night.

Guy was due to arrive at 4pm from Tel Aviv via Paris. Scott waited at airport for an hour but he just did not show. We had no idea what was going on. I spoke to Cocoon several times and they were none the wiser either. His mobile was switched off. About 8.30 I got a call from his manager informing me that he had just received a call from Guy's friend to advise him that he was in handcuffs at Newcastle airport and was getting deported back to Israel. It appears that his work visa had expired and was getting deported early this morning. I have not spoke to him yet but really feel for him. His saturday gig in Spain got cancelled so he was coming all the way from Israel and back for this gig. For him to actually get to Newcastle and get turned away is a nightmare.

Coccon kindly offered us Tobi Neumann to play for free but he was playing at Wax On so not really our vibe to get him on at Habit on the same night.

Really sorry for anyone who was coming especially for Guy Gerber. We will get him back soon. However, I thought the Habit residents were awesome in his place and upstairs was going off for Maurice Fulton.

I have said this before and will say it again, its there fkn job so why dont they make sure they check things to make sure they can get to gigs like passports and visas?

It happened with that Onionz recently as well didnt it, i mean when you go on holiday its one of the first things you do check ya passport etc?

Not pointing blame at anyone yet. Will speak to Cocoon again on Monday. To me they should of ensured that he had the right visa's to get into the UK. If not them then his manager. Its been a long, nightmare booking and the the word visa has never been mentioned to me.

Its very annoying though as we paid out £600 for his fucking flight

brilliant night, Kevin Hutchinson and the lads upstairs were absolutely lethal, deffo one to get get back, fulton was class too

I've no idea what went on downstairs but hotlips and udders seemed to have the place rocking

was a quality night like, fulton was mint upstairs and there was some class stuff gettin played downstairs...i was fucking steaming like i went to habit then to waxon then back to habit again..not sure how either cos i only took £12 out with me
