The lands will ultimately be returned to the Palestinians (although it could be argued this would be the creation of a new state and not the handing back of any lands as Palestine doesnt exist and hasn't for 1500 years ), it isn't Israels goal to drive the Palestinians into the sea, Israel want peace.... But until the Palestinians desire peace nothing can be done.

the only way it will end (IMHO) is in the Palestinians and the Arab states recognizing the State of Israel and declaring non aggression against it. Then presumably the Israelis will have to hand back the occupied territories. A phrase Joe is fond of quoting....
