A lot of it is that you make your own luck, but you can only make so much for yourself. People are luckier than others.


I gamble a lot and made some good money. i've also lost a lot due to bad luck. (see a previous gambling thread from a few weeks ago).


Just last night on Betfair when Boro went 3-0 down they were 1/100 to qualify. Over £200,000 was placed on Bucharest to qualify at that point and you know the rest.


That is serious bad luck / good luck. Assuming Bucharest would qualify was sensible.
