nope it's shut mate, spent the afternoon with the visuals guys who managed to pull their kit out on monday with a couple of hours to spare... according to them the ponana lot were in the process of stripping out the sound system, bar etc. prior to the landlord repossessing the place and they're not the kind of people to bullshit about this kinda stuff.

have to admit I'd been wondering how they were going to keep going over the summer being as both their weekend nights were effectively student nights... in fact I seem to remember pointing this out to them last autumn, but I don't want to turn this into an 'i told you so' thread.

If this really is the final chapter before it turns into flats I'm pretty gutted it looks like we're not going to get the chance to give the place a proper send off*

*we being the party people of newcastle as a whole not just freaky dancing in this case

who knows, I guess they could end up refitting it and reopening, but it didn't sound like that was the case or that this was a planned refit.

I just think at Foundation everyone seemed nicer but it was probably a lot of things. Theres always quite a good crowd at the front of happy people at digital but the rest are just bizarre! Should be a good night friday/saturday whatever day next week though. I had to not go to digital for a while cos it was doing my head in!

Yeah same here even though the music had started to piss me off near the end.

I think everyone would appreciate foundation so much more now but thats just life isnt it

bollocks I've just realised this could actually be the curse of freaky dancing striking foundation a bit late... we seem to have thrown nights in more venues that are now shut / under new management than we have venues that are actually still up and running

satellite, sugar, art centre, cooperage, foundation...

I was going quite a bit and helped out on the last one which was quite funny! The last one was good but it had a weird atmosphere I thought
