    It looks like you only have to change at Muscat, just one change then? I wouldn't fancy flying with Gulf Air much!:p

    How long are you stopping over for in Pakistan?

    I had a 20 hour stop in Karachi on the way to Indonesia, and an 8 hour stop on the way back, and was taken to the airline hotel (I flew PIA). The scary thing was that I didn't know I would need a visa just for this, so they took my passport from me at the airport and I collected it on my way back out. I wouldn't advise being anywhere without a passport, particularly in the current political climate, so I would find out if you will be leaving the airport, and if so, look into getting a visa.
