It works in practise in small states (like Cuba for example). It breeds corruption in larger places, thats why it failed in Russia and China

Actually the reason why the Americans havent attacked N.K is because its geographically impossible. The way Korea is set out.... the ONLY way into North Korea is by using a very well defended valley. The Americans worked out they would lose hundreds of thousands of ground troops in the 5 days it would take to take this area. Also within this time the North Koreans would have amble time to launch a nuclear strike on to the south Korean capital Seoul. (Seoul is very close to the N.Korean border you see) wiping out millions.

This is the reason why American have back down.......... because they cant do it.

The ONLY way to take out North Korea is by using a surprise "pre-emptive" nuclear strike on their nuclear base's........ so they cant fight back.

This is what the Americans will do. I have no doubt they will as well if the Koreans keep it up.

That is what Marx called False Consciousness. We think humans all think like that, but given the right environment (ie communism) that would change, leaving us entirely altruistic. Any form of government could then be done away with, leading to anarchy, not in the traditional sense of lawlessness, but as false consciousness was done away with, we would all be lovely and look after each other.

NB This isn't necessarily my viewpoint, just explaining how communist theorists get around the 'all humans are greedy' problem.

most stupid simplistic comments I've heard for a long time :dunce:

now if you'd said that this country is being run by the same big businesses that run the US I'd give you some credit fro seeing things as they really are

Of course. George Bush has waged his war against terror and the evil regeme's of the world. Iran is next. Who knows after that.

I still don't believe this is all about oil tho. It's about removing anything or anyone who may be a threat to the west, moreso the USA and the way they live.

In short the bombings of Kosovo were justified by the west as a means of allowing the ethnic albanians to return home.

Sierra Leone is a civil war about diamonds, we never went to war we tried to keep the peace.

I'm not one for communism, However I don't believe in runaway states like America as most people have confirmed they are by far the biggest threat to the globe.... They have an inbuilt culture of murder, paranoia and greed. Not a place I'd like to live.

Land of the Free my arse.

    WHAT?!?!?!?

How the fuck is Iran or Iraq a serious threat to the west?!?!?!?

Have you seen the might of the western military compared to a couple of rifle weilding shieks.... Your losing the plot mate.

There are NO THREATS to the USA, not one country has the military might to go up against USA, at best a couple of terrorist may bomb a few buildings, but this is no threat to the country. You can't wage war on every country that has terrorists living in it... We can't nuke Ireland in an attempt to get rid of the IRA.... its fucking madness.

    Heres the real reason.

    Iran oil
    Reserves: 90 billion barrels

    Iraq oil:
    Reserves: 112 billion barrels

    USA oil
    Reserves: 22.5 billion barrels

As relations deminish with the east, who will America get its oil from (america produce 8.9 million barrels a day and consume 8.4 million barrels a day... do the math), they're running out fast and need an alternative supply... So in traditional bully tactics, they're taking the little countries dinner money.

lmao when they have kids going into school and gunning down class mates before they've even hit puberty - I think agism is the least of their problems.

Ravitch says a lot of people are having fun finding new titles for Ernest Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea" which presents problems with every word except "and" and "the." Ravitch said old is ageist, man is sexist and sea can't be used in case a student lives inland and doesn't grasp the concept of a large body of water.

you can't make this shit up.

just like to take this opertunity to say a big told u so to magicpaul... with me being the cocky imature know it all it had to be done :d

Its looking very likely that the mobile weapons factories were no more than mobile hydrogen production units... used to inflate artilary balloons, which we'd sold to the iraqi's!
