    A. i think you are just talking about yourself and maybe some of the people you know/grew up with or even went clubbing with and..

    B. what about all the people (and i know a fair few) that enjoy Trance without drugs?

Im implying nothing, its pretty obvious what Im saying. Everyone is quick to judge music on this board, hardhouse especially as Jess mentioned...

Half of the people who comment know nothing about the genres they pass judgement on! Which is fine by me I dont really care.

Just dont swan around saying dont pass judgement etc when you probably dont realise you do it urself :p

p.s very much agree with ur last sentence :D

i dunno if i would go that far either really. Electro and Techno are still very unknown quantities to many people, even those who think they know the genres. Im not an expert by any means on either but with electro especially i think people tend to get confused with genres names and links.

I dont think u really need to know about a music to say its shit? Music is about listening and if you listen to a lot of it and hate it then thats that...

I havent even given it a chance, barely know what it is and dont really want to :wiggle:

If its like infected mushroom stuff its absolutely kErAZy

Yeah if you listen to Hed Kandi it is commercial

I've got plenty of minimal stuff that is about as accessible as Britney Spears' waff when she was first out.

I still want trance! Not big names, but up and coming trance DJs. Preferably on a Friday night
    :)

i thought Vuzz was doing well... pity internal arguements broke it up... a pay day, monthly gig would do quite well in a small place - i liked Mono... yeah, small dance floor but it was fine and people spilled out and danced all over... once it's got a folowing and decent atmos - who cares where there is to dance?!?!?!

Pity no-ones brave enough to take a shot and get it going... :(

    aye.
vuzz had some really good nights, fact was though that it lost money on just about EVERY guest that was booked, and for most even a packed full venue wouldnt have covered the costs of putting the nights on.

the venue wasnt big enough and the layout was poor. it was just a bar at the end of the day and it didnt even have a sound system in, but full credit to paul and scott who put a lot of money into it and got the best they could have from the venue they had.

imo there isnt any decent venues willing to put a trance night on, somewhere like the other rooms would be ideal for a night like vuzz though they wouldnt touch trance with a bargepole lol. i know paul tried a few other venues for vuzz but was told the same wherever he went, the cluny, WHQ ect.

if someone could get a decent venue on a fri/sat and booked good dj's then i think it would work if it was promoted in the right way, as there is still a following for trance in newcastle imo

its too much work for nothing in return, there are venues in ncl perfect for small nights but why bother.

MX seems to be living the dream tho let hope they do something to keep trance being played in this city.
